The Bing homepage image takes you to new places every day. Users tell us how they escape to a far-off vista during their coffee break, and how their children look forward to sitting down each afternoon to learn about a new creature and its curious habitat.
Whatever your routine, you’ve probably asked “where is this?” “what is this?” or even “why did you pick this?”
Now you can simply scroll down to get the full story behind the Bing image of the day.
“I love it. Getting more information on the picture is just a scroll away.” – feedback from a Bing Insider
In the Image of the Day section, you’ll find the expanded story behind each image, including a mini-map or a “quick fact.” We’ve made it easier to find the options to share, save, or, when possible, download the image to use as your desktop wallpaper.
“I really like the map link. I look forward to the daily image and often wonder where the image is from. This makes it easy.” – feedback from a Bing Insider
Scroll a little more and you’ll see a gallery of our recent homepages to catch up on any you may have missed.
“A very appealing feature that makes the Bing homepage more dynamic. I especially like the image gallery. I hope this becomes a standard feature.” – feedback from a Bing Insider
These new capabilities are live in the US and coming to eight more markets this month (UK, Canada, Australia, India, Germany, France, Brazil, and Japan).
This is just the beginning of a wave of updates coming this year to Bing that will provide enhanced information with an even more beautiful experience. Don’t forget to let us know what you think. We love getting your feedback. It helps us make Bing better every day.
